ZAIDA NAVARRO
On this occasion, the task was to create a range of logos that would identify us in five years.
For this, I chose to work on a logo, an isotype, imagotipo, isologo, signature, acronym, monogram and pictogram.

I start the task with a brainstorming, and the first thing I think is to play with the Z.
After many initial sketches, I find the solution joining the Z and N, which are characterized by being the same letter but with a rotation of 90 °.
When I already have that symbol, I incorporate it into the range of logos and I create the isologo and the imagotipo. Later, I incorporate the signature, my name written in my own handwriting quickly.
For the monogram I choose a variation of the isotype, in which the N becomes the loop of the Z, but continuing with the union of the two consonants.
The monogram is composed by my three initials, Z N L (Zaida Navarro Lara), forming a kind of semi-open box.
Finally, the pictogram, formed by three equilateral equilateral triangles but of different color, symbolizes that the design has several branches and ways, but starting from the same base I can get to do different things, since I do not want to be hold back in a single type of design , but I want to explore my possibilities.

The next step is to give a touch of color to the work, and for this I use watercolors.
The first idea was to highlight the isotype and acronyms with a blue background, as it is a color that seems very nice to me, but I thought it was too monotonous.
Then, in class I had the wonderful idea of dropping watercolor drops above the logos, using three different colors. I chose the yellow, green and pink, three vivid colors that I love together.
Letting the drops fall on top of my drawings I would get a different and varied end, where none of the eight would be the same.
To finish the practice, I photographed the final result painted with watercolors and passed it to Adobe Illustrator.
Using the Image Calc tool, I managed to pass the image to Illustrator format and therefore got a simpler way to handle it.
Then, I unified and retouched the color of the watercolors so that they were more alive and stand out among the black of the text.
Finally I arranged the images in an orderly way and finished the work.
